  • Dining area with 6 chairs

  • One bathroom (bath and shower, no toilet) and one separate toilet

  • Lounge with 2 sofas and 2 chairs

Batson Creek is just 3 minutes down the hill from Osprey.  At the bottom of the hill is a working red telephone box and benches where you can sit and watch as the movement of the  tide  changes the mood of the area.  The path along the Creek takes you into Salcombe, passing the busy boatyard where you can watch local sailors and fishermen getting ready for a busy day on the water.  The road into Salcombe passes boating shops, an ice-cream parlour, the gin distillery, art galleries and cafes.

There are many beaches and coves in the area.  Enjoy discovering them and picking your favourite spot.  The area caters for everyone, some have cafes, others are only accessible via the ferry which leaves from The Ferry Inn and others are reached via a short cliff top walk.

If you fancy a short trip in the car there are the non-town beaches too, like Hope Cove and Thurlestone for the surfers.

Salcombe is a 4.5 hour drive from West London.  Our tip is to leave early to avoid the traffic and arrive in Salcombe for brunch!  You can take the A303 and stop off at Stone Henge or simply hit the M4 and cruise through to the West.

Once on the A38 take the signpost to Loddiswell(B3210).  Ignore the earlier signs to Salcombe.
